If it wasn’t for my Mom, I wouldn’t be a ceramic artist today. True story!
My mom has collected unique nativities for as long as I can remember. Every Christmas my sisters and I would help her put them out on display around the house. Most of her sets are small with a gazillion little figures so the challenge was to find spots for them all. While teaching High School ceramics, I decided to try to make a nativity for my Mom unlike any of her sets.
The first set I made was HUGE (think Garden Sculpture) and the heads came out red! What?!? Let’s just say I was still learning about ceramics back then. Ha ha.
Anyhow, after some fine tuning I ended up with my nativity collection. It is my best selling item year round and it is thanks to my Momma that I even have this business.
