In addition to making ceramics, I also teach art in a virtual school (I know, what a crazy concept!)

I have spent the last few weeks preparing for the first day of classes. It is totally different starting the year in my home than in a traditional brick and mortar school.

I don’t get to buy any fun supplies for my students to use…and I don’t even get any cute new teacher outfits.

But tomorrow when I wake up I will roll out of bed to check emails and answer calls in my pj’s if I so desire…pretty sweet if you ask me.

I had a customer once ask me if I could make a bigger version of my nativity plaque design.

It took some serious trial and error (check out this old post) but I finally got the plaque just right.

Now it is available in my Etsy shop in TWO colors…just like my nativities.

It is a nice alternative to the nativity set if your budget is a little tighter or if you have a smaller space to display your Christmas decorations. You can hang it or use a easel to display it on a tabletop.

My sisters mean the world to me.

My younger sister is turning 21 (wootwoot) on August 17th and my older sister is turning 33 (wootwoot) on August 18th.

Since their birthdays are only a day apart it makes seeing them both a little tricky (especially since they don’t live in the same state!) But I always try to see them both and celebrate another year with them.

Just be-u-tiful!
